TariffTag Privacy Policy

Who operates TariffTag

TariffTag is operated by Grand River Professional Services Inc. under the ClearDue family of apps. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@cleardue.net.

No account required

TariffTag does not require an account. The app does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, financial-account credentials, advertising identifier, or payment-card number to search tariff information.

Information used for tariff searches

When you search, the app sends the product description or tariff code you entered and the destination market you selected (United States or Canada) to a ClearDue-operated relay hosted by Supabase. The relay uses or may use that information to request current tariff data from official government services, such as the U.S. International Trade Commission and the Canada Border Services Agency. Government services receive the search terms or classification prefixes needed for the request, but they receive the relay's network request rather than a direct request from your device.

The current app does not create an account or save a searchable history of your tariff queries in an application database. Supabase, our hosting providers, and government data services may process standard network and operational information, such as IP addresses, timestamps, request headers, and service logs, for security, reliability, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting under their own practices.

The customs value, pass-through assumption, and estimate shown in the calculator are calculated on your device and are not included in the tariff-search request.

How we use information

We use search requests and limited technical information only to provide results, maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and improve the accuracy and reliability of the service. We do not sell personal information. We do not use TariffTag search data for advertising or to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Data retention

TariffTag does not intentionally retain search queries in an application database. Short-lived copies or operational logs may exist with Supabase, network infrastructure, or official data providers for security, debugging, and service operation. We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes or as required by law.

Official sources and third parties

Tariff results come from third-party government services. Their websites and services have their own privacy practices. If TariffTag offers an optional external donation or support link, the selected fundraising or payment provider will process information under its own policy. Grand River does not receive full payment-card details from those providers.

Website privacy

The TariffTag legal pages are hosted on cleardue.net. Our website and hosting providers may process basic traffic information such as IP address, browser or device type, referring page, pages viewed, approximate region, cookies, and similar measurement data. Website information is governed by the ClearDue Privacy Policy at https://cleardue.net/privacy-policy/.

Children's privacy

TariffTag is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can address it.

Your choices and rights

You can avoid sending a query by not running a live search. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about, access, correct, or delete personal information we control. Because TariffTag does not use accounts and does not intentionally retain a search-history database, we may be unable to associate operational records with a particular person. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, data sources, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the date above.
