Terms of Use
Last updated: August 5, 2026
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using cleardue.net or any ClearDue app or service (including ClearDue Tracker, ClearDue Abode, Oryna, and CareAnchor), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use ClearDue.
Description of Service
ClearDue provides tools that help you organize personal, household, safety-journal, wellness, and care-coordination information such as bills, subscriptions, reminders, home records, personal journal entries, optional timed location shares, and shared caregiving information. Features vary by product and may change over time.
Accounts
Some features require an account (for example, Sign in with Apple). You are responsible for maintaining access to your account and for activity that occurs under it.
Your Content
You own the content you enter or upload to ClearDue. You grant ClearDue a limited license to host, store, and process your content only as needed to provide the service (for example, syncing across your devices and showing your content back to you).
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and store any content you submit (including photos and documents).
Sharing (ClearDue Abode)
ClearDue Abode may allow you to share a home with other users. If you share content, you are responsible for choosing who has access. Shared members may be able to view and modify shared content depending on permissions.
Oryna-specific terms
The following terms apply to Oryna in addition to the general terms above. Oryna is a private organizational journal for personal encounters, wellness and prevention context, reminders, and optional safety tools. It is not a medical device, healthcare provider, emergency service, personal-security service, law-enforcement service, or evidence-preservation service.
Health, safety, and emergency limitations (Oryna)
Oryna does not provide medical, legal, security, or emergency advice and does not diagnose, prevent, or treat any condition. Entries, insights, reminders, check-ins, and Safety Shares may be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate. Do not rely on Oryna as your only record, reminder, safety plan, or method of contacting help. If you may be in danger or need urgent medical or safety assistance, contact local emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional.
Safety Connections and Safety Shares (Oryna)
You control whether to create a Safety Connection and start a timed Safety Share. You are responsible for selecting the intended trusted contact and confirming that the email belongs to that person's active iCloud account. Location sharing depends on Apple services, iCloud availability, device permissions, battery, connectivity, background execution, and the recipient's device and settings. Delivery, refresh timing, accuracy, and receipt are not guaranteed. Ending a share stops future location updates when the app and Apple services can process the request; it does not guarantee deletion of prior CloudKit records or copies already viewed, saved, or disclosed by the recipient.
Information about other people (Oryna)
You are responsible for the information you record about other people, including names, aliases, photos, locations, relationship context, health or prevention context, and trusted-contact details. You must have any consent or other legal authority required to collect, store, export, or share that information. Do not use Oryna to harass, stalk, threaten, exploit, secretly record, or violate another person's privacy or legal rights.
Exports and device security (Oryna)
Oryna exports a plain CSV file through the system share sheet. Exported files are no longer protected by Oryna's local database or privacy lock. You are responsible for the destination, recipients, backups, and security of exported files and for securing your device, Apple account, device passcode, and biometric settings.
CareAnchor-specific terms
The following terms apply specifically to CareAnchor in addition to the general terms above.
Care Coordination and Shared Access
CareAnchor is collaborative by design. Information you add may be shared with other authorized care-circle members based on their roles and permissions. You are responsible for inviting the correct people and managing access where your role allows. You should only add information you are authorized to share with that care circle.
User Responsibility for Shared Care Information
You are responsible for the information you add, share, or make available in a care circle. You must ensure you have the right to enter and share patient, caregiver, appointment, medication, and related care information.
Notifications (CareAnchor)
Notification delivery depends on device settings, platform behavior, connectivity, and user permissions. CareAnchor notifications and reminders are helpful tools but should not be relied on as the sole method for urgent or time-sensitive care communication.
Not Medical Advice / Not for Emergencies
CareAnchor is an organizational and communication tool. It is not a medical device. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. CareAnchor must not be relied on for emergency or urgent-response situations. If you have a medical emergency, contact emergency services or a qualified professional immediately.
Permissions and Role-Based Access
Access to certain content and actions within CareAnchor may depend on your role and permissions within a care circle. ClearDue may limit or remove access based on those permissions and product rules.
In-App Purchases
Some ClearDue features are offered as auto-renewable subscriptions or one-time purchases through the Apple App Store. Before purchase, the app and Apple's purchase sheet display the applicable product, price, billing period, and any trial for which the Apple account is eligible. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled in Apple account settings. Apple processes purchases and refund requests; Grand River does not receive full payment-card details. Apple's Media Services Terms and the applicable Apple end-user licence agreement also apply.
